Full Container Load is the shipment that justifies using an exclusive container to transport your goods. The term “full” means that the entire container will be yours, but it does not require the obligation to fully load it.
 

The purchase on FCL is for the space of the container on the ship during transport, a simpler unit to measure and compare, but with some specificities such as the negotiation of free time and demurrage value (container demurrage) and the commitment to deliver the container to the shipowner after removal of the goods.

Like any logistical network, maritime routes are made up of cargo concentrating ports, which would be the equivalent of air connections when traveling by plane. In this case, the fewer ports the cargo passes through, that is, the more direct and faster the shipment, the higher the price. This urgency in receiving the cargo is another factor that we evaluate with the client.
