Cocoa
The Ouro Verde Farm is located in Maraú, in the State of Bahia in Brazil. The farm produces various types of cocoa in the Cabruca cultivation format, where the plantation is within the Atlantic Forest.
The most well-known types of cocoa produced are Common Cocoa; Catongo Cocoa; PS 1319; NCC 51; CCN 10; BN 34.
The Ouro Verde Farm produces fine cocoa beans, valuing quality in the process and respecting nature, aiming to achieve different standards of aroma and flavors of the beans.
The process follows strict fermentation, drying, and storage patterns to achieve a high quality of the almonds. The farm produces for the main Brazilian brands in the gourmet segment and has UTZ certification in sustainable agriculture procedures.
In 2020, they received 3rd place in the Blend category of the 2nd edition of the Brazilian Cocoa Awards Contest. Today the Ouro Verde Farm has the third-best almond in the country's Blend category.
